Jay Rasmusson, CEO for Legacy Drafting & Design has acquired extensive drafting and design experience in site and residential projects throughout the State of Washington over the last 12 years. Prior to graduating from Clover Park Technical College with a degree in Architectural Engineering, Jay had the opportunity to work for one of the most prestigious custom home builders constructing homes in Semiahmoo, Washington and was involved in every aspect of the building process from the foundation to the finished product.

Through this experience, Jay came to understand his passion for construction and, wanting to be on the other end of the process, he decided in 2000 to further his education. Upon graduating, Jay took a position with a national award winning Landscape Architect Firm, and for over 7 years worked on a variety of projects from schools, parks, athletic facilities and college campuses. Jay’s responsibilities quickly grew from simply drafting the projects to include assistant project management, marketing, grant writing and construction review.

With this knowledge and understanding of general construction, he created Legacy Drafting & Design to help those who are in need of seeing projects come alive and assist where possible to see them become a reality.
